I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The attic room was 40 euros in cash without breakfast, plus two euros city tax. I booked it for the price and how convenient it was for the bus terminal, despite having some concerns about the building and area. The room was nicely decorated, and the host trusted me without asking for an advance deposit. The hosts did a great job designing this modern B&B. Catania is lively and full of character, and the fish market is a must. Don’t let graffiti in some areas put you off.

I first stayed here in 2018 and returned in 2024, booking directly because I’d had such a good experience last time. It’s a small B&B with big-hearted hosts, on the top floor of a large apartment building, so you get a real taste of Sicily. Everything you need is there, it’s very clean, and it’s close to the station. Prices are very reasonable too. This time I had a lovely, large room with a little balcony. I love how Cristiano and Angelo run the place, and I’ll be back!

The room was in great shape and clean, and the host speaks very good English, which you can’t always count on in Sicily. Drinks and service were nice, with fair prices. The rooms under the roof have sloping ceilings, so you may have to stoop in places. Otherwise, everything was fine: it’s right in the center with bars and restaurants nearby.

The surroundings may not look especially welcoming or clean, but the location is handy, about a 15-minute walk to the center and 10 minutes to the bus station. The hosts were lovely, and Cristian was always around to help or offer advice. Our room was great. Getting upstairs means either taking a very slow lift or using the stairs. I’d definitely recommend staying here in Catania!
