B&B porta Garibaldi

I can't recommend Porta Garibaldi B&B in Catania. The owner or staff seemed to have no understanding of hospitality and came across as unprofessional, dishonest, and lazy. It felt like they didn't value guests or offer the service you'd expect from any accommodation.

The owners were really kind, and the room was clean and decent, though rather small. Still, the poor ventilation weighs heavily, as people have pointed out many times.

There were no clear directions. The owner avoids you, then charges you later for a no-show.

We checked in and left straight away. Booking had described the place as right in the center, but when we arrived it didn't feel like a center at all, more like a dump. We had to leave the car in a horrible garage, and the room was filthy. There were ants on the table by the entrance, mold on the walls, and insects on the mattress cover. The towels were bad too, and the sink had hair in it. A note said toilet paper had to go in a bin instead of the toilet. The noise coming through the window was unbelievably loud, like it was right beside us. Just awful. I strongly advise against going there.
