The ceiling in our room was tall and beautifully decorated, as you can see in the picture. The owner was friendly, and the place was clean and very well located. The bed felt a little hard. Breakfast is at the excellent pastry shop across the street. The bathroom is out in the corridor, which is quite normal in Italian hotels.

The sheets were clean and fresh, but this was the worst of the three places we stayed in Sicily. The host seemed rather cold, as though tourists were expected to speak Italian. My sister spoke to the host in Italian, and people in Sicily were always very nice when you spoke to them in Italian. Wi-Fi didn't work in the room, only in the bathroom. The bathroom was covered in limescale and didn't look fully cleaned. The name is misleading, since there was no breakfast, and the kitchen was poorly equipped, though it did have a fridge.

The staff were incredibly polite and kept our luggage for us. Our room was amazing and very clean, and the private bathroom was spotless too. A wonderful place for 2-3 nights. Definitely recommend it.

If being near the center is all you care about, this place could work. Beyond the location, it was average. The bed was hard, and so were the pillows. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, just a public network, and we couldn't get a signal. With summer heat, having no fridge in the room was a real problem.

The host was so friendly and did everything to make us comfortable during our stay at BB. We had self check-in, with very detailed directions for getting from the airport and finding BB. I'd stay again next time I'm in Catania!
