BB Perla

A good base for exploring Catania, with large rooms, high ceilings, and balconies right in the middle of the action. It can get noisy at night, so if that would bother you, you may want to stay outside the city center.

We only stayed one night and had a good experience. After a long day out sightseeing, it was lovely to have a balcony to sit with a drink or two. The place is close to lots of shops and restaurants. Self check-in was straightforward, with video instructions for getting into the building and room, and once we were in, they even called to check we were happy with everything. They also arranged an airport transfer for our early morning flight.

The room had plenty of space and a balcony with a nice view. It had good amenities and a bathroom that was decent enough. The building is Baroque and just off Via Etna, in a convenient spot. Since it's on a main street, expect some noise.

The window looked out over a lovely panorama of the city, and the mornings felt special. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with modern amenities and a bed comfortable enough for a great night's sleep after a day of sightseeing. B&B La Perla is only a few minutes on foot from Catania's main sights, including the cathedral, market, and picturesque streets lined with local shops and restaurants. I spent a few days there on my visit, and it was one of the best travel experiences I've had. A great choice for exploring the city comfortably, and I'd highly recommend it.
