Finestre sul Teatro

The highlight of our 12-night visit was the huge private terrace, with its unobstructed view of the ancient Greek Theatre. We never got tired of it. The larger of Gaetano's two beautiful suites overlooks the Teatro Antico Greco-Romano, and it was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately kept. It had air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, one and a half bathrooms, strong water pressure and plenty of hot water, a washing machine in a laundry room, and all the amenities we needed. The location is ideal for walking around town, and having parking in central Catania is a rare bonus. This was our second time staying with Gaetano. We’d only spent a few nights here last year, but the property and Gaetano's hospitality made us want to come back for longer. It felt like coming home. The refrigerator was stocked with water when we arrived, there were enough coffee pods for the whole stay, and we had housekeeping once midway through. We also got to meet his mother, who spoiled us with homemade lasagna, cookies, and delicious tiramisu cups. Gaetano was incredibly generous and attentive. He helped us shop for ceramics and arrange shipping back home, found us a jewelry shop, and made an early check-in and late check-out possible. He even drove us to the airport. He also introduced us to a great coffee shop, where the iced coffees became our daily favorite, and recommended the excellent restaurant right downstairs. The food and staff were so good that we ate there most evenings. We’ve stayed in vacation rentals all over the world, and this was one of our best experiences. Gaetano is professional, kind, and thoughtful, and treated us like friends and family. Our stay in his B&B has turned into a friendship we really value. We can’t recommend Gaetano's B&B enough, and we’re already looking forward to returning.
