So far, this has been the worst place I've stayed in Catania.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The cleanliness was poor, and the online photos left things out and weren't fully accurate. It’s in what felt to me like the worst neighborhood in Catania, with a depressing view of an inner courtyard. The owner’s service was terrible and she didn’t answer WhatsApp messages. We had asked them not to enter the apartment, but they came in without permission because they hadn’t checked things before we arrived. The two elevators were too small to get in facing forward with suitcases, and there was a mattress in the lobby. During our stay, a school group ran through the hallways until the early hours. At night the street was unlit and covered in trash. It felt like a complete scam.

There's a market right outside almost every day, and it takes a little getting used to, though the noise was bearable. Shopping was easy with at least three supermarkets open daily, and the staff and booking process were friendly and straightforward. The elevator is tiny. Inside, the furnishings could use an update, but if you don't expect too much, it feels homey. It has what self-caterers need: an oven, fridge, air conditioning, shower, and laundry facilities. I'd gladly come back.

The apartment is comfortable and spacious, and paid parking is close by. It does need some maintenance and wasn't spotless. The location is fantastic for exploring central Catania, and with a bit more attention, the place could be perfect.
