We felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay in Catania, despite claims on some websites that it isn't safe. It's a beautiful old city, with plenty to see and lots to learn about its history, especially the Roman period. The sea is at most a seven-minute walk away, and grocery stores, restaurants, and small shops are all close by. The nearby train is about a five-minute walk away and makes it easy to reach sights. I'd suggest taking it into the city center, but check the timetable. We've been at Il Mondo in Catania from May 29, 2025, and will stay until June 7, 2025. The apartment is clean, nicely furnished, and has everything we could need. The owner has been incredibly friendly and helpful. He brings us snacks, empties the trash regularly, picked us up when we had trouble reaching the apartment, and took time to show us Catania's wonderful sights. We're very glad we chose this place and are very satisfied. Five stars from Rouben and Bianca from Germany. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The bed was incredibly comfortable and super clean, and the owner was incredibly kind. A relaxing B&B and a lovely holiday experience, especially if you're looking to unwind. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything!
