Indipendenza BIG- with Air conditioning and Balconies

When we arrived, there were soaking wet towels on the bed. The place might look nice if it were better organized, but hygiene was poor. The rooms smelled bad, and the wastebaskets in the bathroom and bedroom hadn’t been lined. The bed was very uncomfortable, and mosquitoes made it impossible to open the windows, so we slept in the heat. Four remote controls all had dead batteries, which meant we couldn’t turn on the air conditioning or TV. We contacted the owner but got no reply, and left the keys at the property when we checked out. The fridge didn’t have even one bottle of water. Worse, there wasn’t a drop of hand soap, and four of us had to share half a roll of toilet paper that had already been used by someone else, for three days. We’d understood at booking that we could get a refund, but after paying we were refused one. Then, when we arrived, they asked for tourist tax even though we’d been told it was included in what we paid. After all that incompetence, this isn’t a stay I’d repeat.
