We left after just 15 minutes. It’s a room in an apartment, with a shared refrigerator for everyone staying there, and there’s nothing luxurious about it. The room smelled bad and had mold. A few rooms share a balcony, so someone could walk in from outside. It’s on the first floor above a bar. They wanted to check us in at 8 p.m. because of May 1st, and I wasn’t sure they’d be ready on time. Stay away from this place.

There are loads of reasonably priced places for lunch and dinner nearby, and many of Catania’s main sights are easy to reach from here. The city comes alive at night, and this spot gives you a good feel for it, with locals and tourists both out enjoying what’s on offer.

There’s lots of space in the room, and the air conditioner worked great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Guests can use the kitchen, and there are refreshments in the fridge.

My wife and I couldn’t find the place at all, since there are no signs, and even the bar 10 meters away had never heard of it. The representative didn’t show up at the agreed time. We had to pay for a room somewhere else, and got no refund. This place is a dive, and I won’t call it a B&B or lodging. It’s an example of an establishment with no service at all. I expect Luxury Catania will blame its troubles on the customer. Just watch and see. Do not book!

The landlord confirmed our reservation the day before we arrived, but then we spent all morning in Catane waiting for the room to be ready at 3 p.m. When we got there, he wasn’t around and wouldn’t answer the phone. Eventually he sent a WhatsApp saying the room wasn’t available because the hotel was overbooked. He hadn’t even canceled the reservation on Booking, so we had to do it ourselves to avoid being charged. A very poor experience.
