Oberdan Bed And Breakfast

The hosts are a really friendly, lovely couple, and the rooms are cozy and clean. It would be helpful to know ahead of time that check-in may need to be arranged for a specific time.

Clean place in a central location.

The welcome bottles of water were a nice touch, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a decent variety, though the croissants were burnt. My room was large, very clean, and had a new, well-kept bathroom, but the mattress was too hard to be comfortable. It's a nice B&B, and my stay was positive, though a few things keep it from being a real standout. I'd recommend it.

The mattress was incredibly thin, with springs digging into me whenever I turned over. We barely slept, then had to go back to work the next day. If people want to keep doing this job, they should invest in making stays comfortable and convenient, unless it's only a hobby for them. The whole check-in process had already left me feeling very uncomfortable. We had arranged to arrive at 2:30 PM, but just before we got there the owner called to say he was busy and asked to move it to 4:00 PM. I agreed and took time off work specifically for the check-in, but nobody was there at 4:00. We later agreed to meet at 8:30 PM, after work. At that time I called to say I was on my way, but when I arrived and rang, nobody answered. I texted that I was downstairs, and he said he'd come in a few minutes. Ten minutes went by, and I was close to getting in the car to look for somewhere else. He eventually arrived and let me in. While I was handing over the check-in documents, his daughter came downstairs and called him, saying his wife wanted him to come back up. I assumed they were having dinner and didn't want to interrupt it for check-in, so I thought I'd have to wait for them to finish. It was the worst night of my life.
