We'd definitely stay here again. The host was friendly, polite and so helpful, and the apartment felt safe and secure. It's in a historic building on a small street off Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. There are a few restaurants on the street and it's lively in the evening, but from the apartment on the far side of the inner courtyard we heard no street noise. The location is very convenient, right in the historic district. The Cathedral is 350m east, Teatro Greco is 71m north, and Castello Ursino is 350m south. Piazza Borsellino, for airport connections, is 600m away, with 350m of that being the walk to the Cathedral. The room had a very comfortable extra-large king-size bed, at least 180 x 210 cms, plus a handy little adjoining room with a sofa, TV, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. The bathroom was excellent, with an Italian walk-in shower and a large, stylish basin. Toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers were supplied, as you'd expect in an upmarket hotel. All that, along with the comfort, cleanliness and safety, came at a reasonable price.

Palazzo Del Verga has such a good location, right on Sant’anna street, where you can eat and drink and enjoy Catania from inside this historic building. We loved the stay and the fresh, unusual approach to hospitality. You come in through beautiful old double wooden doors, pass under arches into the courtyard, then climb marble stairs and go through another set of doors to your room. It has high ceilings and a balcony with white flowing curtains. Everything was perfect. In the room we found a fridge stocked with complimentary Prosecco, water, chips, muffins, coffee, tea, juice and more. There were also vouchers for breakfast at a nearby cafe/bar. The location could hardly be better. Bravo 🙌

Really enjoyed the stay. The room was bright, spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were all the essentials, including free drinks and snacks. I'd definitely come back.

The owner was so helpful and shared great places to eat and have a drink. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully styled. We had a lovely stay, highly recommend it!
