Quattro Canti Suites

The rooms are large, with a big shower and a coffee machine, and Luca was amazing at explaining everything, including where to go and eat. The location is excellent, though it also means terrible noise, and you can't open a window. Just so you know, breakfast is coffee and a croissant.

The room is compact but super clean, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast each day is tea or coffee and a croissant brought to the bed. The hotel couldn't be in a better spot, right in the center of Catania. Luca was an outstanding host: our flight was delayed and we reached the hotel after midnight, but he waited for us. I hadn't noticed the extra 20 Euros supplement, though it was clearly stated on Agoda. Even so, I appreciated how promptly he replied to our messages and reassured us he'd wait. The one issue was the stairs from Level 1 to the hotel, about 1.5 flights, which came as a surprise. Anyone with huge or heavy luggage would have to carry it up, so I wouldn't recommend it in that case. A good friend of mine suffered retina detachment while carrying heavy luggage up many flights of stairs at one go and needed immediate eye surgery. Otherwise, this may be the best place you can find in Catania.

Just off via l'etna, the location is excellent. The hotel is a little run down, but that's part of its charm. Luca was great and helped us figure out how everything in the room worked. Agata was fantastic and pampered us so much it felt like staying with my Zia.

Quattro Canti suites is simple, spotless and finished to a high standard, with a super comfortable bed. Luca, the owner, made us feel very welcome. He also owns the excellent restaurant across the street, where you can try Sicilian food with a modern twist. The hotel is right in the center of town. There aren't many good hotels in Catania, and this is one of the few. We were glad to spend two nights here.
