SoStanza Rooms in Catania

Davide was a fantastic host. He clearly cares about the apartment and his guests, met me when I arrived, showed me around the neighbourhood, and checked in regularly to see if I was okay. He answered questions quickly and even helped arrange an Etna tour. I spent a month at SoStanza rooms on a business trip, booking directly with the host. I first stayed four weeks in Sandy, the single room, and enjoyed it so much that when my partner joined me at the end of the trip, we booked the double room, Sky, instead of a city centre hotel. Both rooms were clean, bright and comfortable, with air-conditioning, an en-suite and a terrace. The shared kitchen had everything we needed, including an iron and vending machines for hot drinks and snacks. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt very safe. Milo and Borgo metro stations are within walking distance, and the BRT1 bus stops right outside. I’m quite fit and often walked to Nesima station for work, about 25 minutes, or down Via Etnea into town, also around 25 minutes. For groceries there are a couple of shopping areas nearby, just past Milo Station and at the junction of Via Palazzotto and Via Ingegnere. This place is a gem, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

The apartment was spotless, cozy and had everything I needed during the two unforgettable months I spent there. The host made it special: so welcoming, kind and sincerely caring that they felt like family, and I felt at home every day. If you’re coming to Catania, I’d recommend staying here with all my heart. 💛
