Tembo House - Pantano 2

We didn’t feel like we were staying at a B&B so much as taking a survival test. Dust coated every surface so heavily it seemed to be part of the furnishings. There were squashed mosquitoes on the headboard, and the bathroom was awful, with buildup on the shower and sinks, dull faucets, and an unpleasant, hard-to-place smell. The fridge was disgusting, with dripping grime and unidentifiable residue. The sheets had stains, and cobwebs throughout added to the abandoned feel. On top of all that, the owner was very rude and irritated by complaints, as though the guest was at fault for the state of the place. Don’t trust the photos. They show something completely different from reality. If Dante had stayed here, he might have added another circle to Hell for this B&B of eternal dirt. Anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, or even hygienic stay should run. If you want to know what it’s like to sleep in a haunted cellar, this may be the place.

We raised the cleanliness problems with the owner, who answered arrogantly and with irritation, as though we were the problem. There was no apology or attempt to fix anything, just a rude, unprofessional response. The room was shocking from the moment we arrived: sticky floors, dust, hair on the pillow, and sheets that clearly hadn’t been changed. The bathroom was worse, with a musty smell, mold in the shower, and stained towels. The hygiene was unacceptable, even for a hostel. I won’t come back, and wouldn’t recommend this B&B to anyone who cares about basic cleanliness and respect.

I’ve never been in a dirtier or more squalid place. The sheets were covered in suspicious stains, and there was mold and grime all over the nightmarish bathroom. The owner was absent and careless. Don’t waste your money or risk your health, stay somewhere else.

There was dust on the furniture and surfaces, grime in the corners, and a musty smell in the room. It gave us the impression of complete neglect. The bed was worse: covered in hair and debris, so we couldn’t sleep comfortably. Linens should be carefully checked and sanitized, and finding them like this was unacceptable. We also saw squashed dead mosquitoes left on the walls. All of this made the stay miserable and left us feeling the place wasn’t run professionally at all. A B&B should be clean, welcoming, and looked after, but this was the opposite. It’s a shame, because a little effort could improve things, but I can’t recommend this place to anyone.
