The noise and the poor conditions made this stay unbearable for us. Parties nearby kept going until 4:30 a.m., so rest was hard, and we got food poisoning from seafood and spent the whole night very sick. The beach was dull and the waves were rough all the time. The village felt filthy and unhygienic, and there was no customer service to speak of. We had booked August 13-18 and paid €750, but ended up leaving for another hotel. At Afro Bar, we paid €60 to enter, then heavy rain started about an hour later and lasted the rest of the day. No refund or discount was offered. The management's greed was ridiculous, and the amount of money we paid for this so-called village was unbelievable. Given all the stress, we think management should offer a refund or discount. We wouldn't recommend it to tourists.

The beach was the only part of this place we liked. We stayed two nights in May 2025, and although it's advertised as three-star accommodation, it felt more like one star. The rooms are worn, the interior and bathroom are shabby, and the outdoor areas need work. Breakfast was included, but we only tried it the first morning and went elsewhere the next day.

Getting into the center by bus D is easy enough, though it comes when it comes. The place is right by the beach, but most bungalows aren't actually next to it. Beach chairs cost €5 a day, so I just used a blanket. The bungalows feel stuck in the 80s or 90s, with holes in the bathroom tiles and stickers covering the doors. The beds were average, the room fridge was really loud, and planes pass overhead, so don't book if that bothers you. The AC worked great. I'd recommend the hotel if you don't need luxuries. The city itself is another story, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The kittens were the nicest part of our stay. Staff were friendly when we spoke to them and said good morning, and the bus into Catania was convenient, with a stop right outside. It costs €1 and takes about 15 minutes, though timing is unpredictable. It does the job. A taxi or Uber costs €22, and people may approach pretending to be taxi drivers and offer you a ride. Our room was tiny, plain, dated and uncomfortable, more like a hostel. Towels, bedding and shower gel were provided, but we wouldn't come back or recommend it. It's a cheap option outside the town center. Breakfast was mediocre and felt like something we had to eat rather than chose. Flights made sleep difficult: you won't get much rest before 11 p.m. or after 5 a.m., when they start, and the room shakes. Planes fly over the beach and the room, so plane spotters might enjoy that. If you want peace and quiet or don't want to breathe jet fuel fumes 24/7, consider somewhere else.
