Napoleon

The food wasn't very tasty, and for the price I expected more. Lunch and dinner buffets were repetitive, apart from the Romagna evening and the fish evening. The waiters, though, were kind and professional. We stayed a week in a nice, clean hotel. Our room was very spacious and had a sea view, and cleanliness was good.

This was our fourth stay at the Napoleon, between late July and early August, and we're already looking forward to coming back. The location is so convenient, just steps from the sea and town center, and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Everything is well organized. The staff are what really make the place: they're kind, friendly, helpful, and greet you with a smile. They make you feel like part of the family and looked after from the first day to the last. The kids love the activities and entertainment, so we parents can relax too. Meals are always on time, with varied, delicious dishes of excellent quality. Highly recommended!

Getting to the beach is easy, and that's the one real plus. The rest was a letdown for the price. The hotel feels stuck in the '70s and '80s and needs a full renovation. Our room was tiny and uncomfortable, and we could hear every sound from the neighboring rooms and hallway through the poor soundproofing. The children's play area was in bad shape, with dusty, broken toys that didn't seem suitable for little ones. The restaurant served low-quality products, repetitive meals, and sub-brand drinks. Although the pool should have been a plus, it was almost always shaded and freezing, so it was nearly always empty. The value for money was terrible, and we expected a lot more.

The main issue was getting around with my mother, who is in her nineties and uses a walker. There are ramps, including access to the seafront and beach, but they're so steep that they were hard for her to manage. It was tiring, though we got through it. I spent seventeen days with her between the end of July and the beginning of August 2025, and we had a wonderful time. One other irritation was the number of families with small children. Almost every evening, parents let the kids scream and run up and down the panoramic stairs in the dining room, even though they have a playroom downstairs. It caused quite a disturbance for people who stayed at the table after dinner. I know this isn't the hotel's fault, but it was very annoying, especially for older guests.
