Palazzo San Giovanni

Federico was so kind while organizing my party and took the time to make it feel like it was just for me. The location was beautiful, right in the heart of Cava, and the food was excellent. I celebrated my 30th birthday there and couldn't have chosen better. Highly recommended.

The pizza was good, but the "del monaco" arrived without its main ingredient, provolone. It came later, when the pizza was lukewarm and the cheese wouldn't melt. The organization and customer service both need rethinking. We went for dinner last night, and although the location was nice, an unstable sheet of plywood nearly fell on my head. I told a waiter, who only moved it a few centimeters, even with children playing in the dining room. When I told the girl at the counter what had happened, she brushed us off with an unfortunate joke. Avoid this place if you're after a pleasant evening.

Our group spent 5 nights at the San Giovanni, and everything was perfect, from the services and breakfast to trekking on the Amalfi Coast. The location was another plus, and Cava de' Tirreni is worth a visit. We highly recommend the property. See you soon! French Haute-Savoie Group.

The bathrooms could use some maintenance, particularly the hot and cold water mixer taps. We switched out of the first room for several reasons, and the second was a little better. The outside is lovely, and the rooms are basic but fine.
