The rooms were spotless, cozy, and well kept, and the welcome was exceptionally warm and attentive. You can reach the place from the Amalfi Coast without much trouble, even in a small or midsized car. It's a quiet mountain escape with a private room and jacuzzi. At night the views are breathtaking, with stars across the sky, and driving down at sunrise feels magical. If that sounds like your kind of getaway, this is definitely the place. It felt like a dream.

It's quite remote, but we really enjoyed the downtime. The food and staff were wonderful. The hotel sits high on a hill, with amazing views and total quiet.

It has a castle-on-the-hill feel, and the rooms are warm, tidy, and very nice, with a good bathroom. The lobby is a pleasant place to sit and relax by the piano. Breakfast was tasty, and everyone I met, from reception to the rest of the staff, was very good. I'd recommend staying here and hope to come back.

The road up is narrow and winding, with lots of blind corners, so driving could be tough unless you know the streets or are an experienced Italian driver. Bus No. 61 goes between the hotel and Cava town centre. During Christmas we arranged daily taxi pickups and drop-offs through WhatsApp, which was easy enough. Pompei makes an easy day trip by train from Cava station, and Salerno is only two stops the other way. We spent Christmas here with our five-year-old, tucked away from the busy centre of Cava de Tirreni. The hotel views are stunning, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. Our room had character, though it wasn't luxurious and felt a little dated. Behind the hotel is the late 1300s Territorial Abbey of La Trinità della Cava, which is well worth seeing. The church interior was a real surprise, much bigger than its exterior suggests. Guided tours cost 3€ and include more than the main church.
