Camping Hotel Valdor

Valdor in Cavallini is a peaceful place and a good location for camping, with facilities suited to that. It opens onto the beach and has tents available free of charge. Breakfast was complimentary, good, and had plenty of choices. The receptionist was resourceful, understanding and helpful in many ways. There's an eatery five minutes' walk from the hotel, and the room was very small, with a bed charging point. Language wasn't a problem, as the receptionists spoke English and Italia. For Venice, Hotel Valdor is an hour away by car. I had to relocate from there to San Marco to get the best out of Venice, using a taxi and then a boat. Serene, but far from the city centre.

A peaceful spot for a quiet family holiday, with a lovely garden, private beach, friendly staff and rooms that are fine, quiet and clean. There's internet, but no fridge in the room, and the heating was off at the end of October, so the room felt quite cold. Getting to Venice is tricky and takes a long time. For public transport, you need bus number 5, and the stop is 6-7 minutes away on foot.

The staff were lovely, the prices were good, and it’s a fantastic place. The one downside was the noise from some tourists with children, who shouted late into the night every night. Maybe we just happened to be there at the same time, but the German families with kids were the worst, and some Italian families were noisy too 😔. I love children, so it wasn’t that.

A nice beach for little kids, and there’s even a shower right on the beach. The toilets and showers were clean, and they had fun activities for children every day. One issue: loud music came from the beach sound system after 10 PM until 3:30 AM, so it’s better to pitch your tent or park your caravan near the hotel.
