Mediterraneo Camping Village

The sanitary facilities worked fine, though they’re old, and the service area had a limited selection of goods. Restaurant prices were high too. Our pitch was near the waterpark, so the area was noisy, and the neighbours were loud as well, calling to each other from 15-20 metres away. It’s a nice campsite, but it doesn’t feel like the five-star place it claims to be.

We’ve come here for three years now, and it’s still great! The food in the restaurant has always been good, and the price was very reasonable: 300€ for seven nights. It’s small enough that everything is close by, and it works well for little kids, with activities, a pool, beach, and playground. There’s also a sports pool for parents. You get WiFi, electricity, and water at the pitch. The building is simple, but the showers are great, with big rainforest shower heads, good pressure, hot water, and proper home-style faucets instead of push buttons. There are lots of mosquitoes, and the pitches get very sandy and dusty. Long-term campers have covered the ground with big nets or mats. A calisthenics park would be a nice addition.

The place is extremely organized and clean, with lovely surroundings full of plants and careful details. There are great activities, and the shows and entertainment are lovely for both kids and adults. I didn’t like having to pay for my own towels when booking through booking/agoda, since no beach towels were provided. Pool chairs cost 12 euros too. The cleaning team hadn’t made up our beds with the sheets, and there was no cleaning during our stay. If they advertise and charge as a five-star place, they should pay attention to these details.

We stayed in a 'Maxi Sole' cabin that suited us perfectly, with comfortable rooms, A/C, a basic kitchen, and its own bathroom with a shower and toilet. The cabins sit among pine trees, which offer welcome shade in the summer heat, but also attract biting insects. Be careful to spray yourselves and use the fly net at the doorway. The site is right by the beach, and our booking included sun loungers and a parasol. Even in high summer, that part of the beach never felt too crowded, since different families did different things on different days and the reserved spots weren’t all occupied. We also took an easy day trip to Venice, driving a short distance to Punta Sabbioni and then taking a water taxi. It really made the trip. Caribe Bay water park was only a 20-minute drive away and made for a very fun day. This is a lovely site on a less well-known part of Italy’s coast, and I’d recommend it to couples or families.
