The campground was tidy, and the pool kept our kids busy with lots of activities, though there was a lot of chlorine, maybe for a reason. We're a young family and stayed there with our camper in June. There were around 49 camper pitches, and probably as many or more tiny houses and bungalows. The shop had food and groceries, and there was also a restaurant and an ice cream shop. We ate and drank at the beach bar several times, and liked the cocktails there. Service was always friendly and helpful. The animation team were especially great, really engaged, and unlike any we'd experienced before. Pool and beach seating costs extra, though you can put up your own umbrella on the beach. We'd come back anytime.

The mobile home had useful basics, including an induction stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and kitchen utensils. The gardens were beautifully designed and very well cared for, and there was good internet for remote work or streaming. There was a pool for adults and children, dogs were allowed on site, and activities ran all day for kids and adults. I didn't try the activities, so I can't speak to how good they were. Still, the price felt far too high. Friends paid half as much at a nearby camp for similar accommodation during the same period. The camp is quite isolated, so getting to shops, pharmacies, or restaurants takes a car or public transport. Loud activity music often went on until 11 PM, and the mobile homes aren't soundproof, which made early nights hard. My toilet also had a plumbing problem: water often took 30 seconds to 3 minutes to drain after flushing. The indoor AC smelled terrible, leaving me to choose between hot fresh air with the windows open or cold, smelly air from the unit. Sensors meant the AC couldn't run with the windows open. There were some odd rules and inconveniences too. Friends from a nearby camp had to pay just to enter when they came to visit, which seemed unreasonable. They should charge visitors for using specific facilities instead. Dogs aren't allowed on the beach, and finding waste bags while walking my dog around the camp was difficult. I was ready to raise the issue since the camp charges for dogs but didn't seem to supply bags. I eventually found some at the far end of the camp. More accessible spots around the grounds would be much better. Worth considering, but with caution.

The campground had a nice, easygoing atmosphere, and it was small enough that everything felt close by and well maintained. It's right on the beach and close enough for regular day trips to Venice. There's plenty of varied entertainment, a great kids' pool with slides, cafes, ice cream, and a useful shop stocked with most things you'd need. The toilets were clean, and the buffet breakfast had lots of options. For the price, though, I expected more. We booked gold accommodation, but the mobile home was very cramped inside, and all of us bumped our heads. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Towels were changed only once a week, with no linen changes or cleaning included. Given the weekly cost, I expected at least one cleaning and a fresh set of linen.

We went as a family with three teenagers for a week between July and August 2025, staying in a “Top Residence Gold” mobile home. The grounds were clean and very well maintained, and the staff were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the modern, entertaining evening program, and the entertainment team deserve a thank you. We cooked for ourselves, and there’s a large LIDL in Ca'Vio, 3 km away, where you can get everything you need at a very reasonable price. I can highly recommend the resort.

The atmosphere at Vela Blu was great, and I loved the beautiful nature. I was there last summer and had a really good time. The animation team were very cool and kind. Bright stood out for me. He helped whenever we needed it, played with us, and seemed to really enjoy spending time with the guests. I've read some negative reviews about Bright, and that makes me sad. I know him, and I don't believe he'd do anything like that. He's one of the people who works hard to help guests feel comfortable and safe at the campground. My family and I are going back to Vela Blu this year. I hope I get to see Bright again. He made things so much fun, and I enjoyed every day there.
