I really enjoyed my time at the Fontebussi resort during a yoga retreat with Tuscan Fitness. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, the property is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are two large swimming pools, and the restaurant is great. The laundry service wasn’t the most convenient, and the pool bar was sometimes closed, but I had a great time overall and would love to visit again sometime.

The staff welcomed us warmly, and we were seated in the shade on the balcony. We started with an amuse bouche and a glass of bubbly, then chose a lovely range of dishes after lots of appreciative noises around the table. The truffle risotto for two was finished right at the table in a Parmesan wheel, yes, really. We paired the meal with a stunning Soave, and my young nephew ate every bite of his pesto pasta. The staff were attentive, engaged with us, and had a good sense of humour. Winemaker Guiseppe Sala, whose winery I Selvatici is just down the road, had called ahead for us. It was a delicious, thoroughly enjoyable meal, the best we had in Italy during our stay. Highly recommended.

The kitchen was amazing, and the hosts and waiters were professional, fun, and caring. There was plenty of space for kids, too, while the place still felt peaceful and Tuscan.
