The viewing itself went well. Francesca was pleasant, showed us around the property, and explained how everything was set up. I first considered having my wedding here, but when we started discussing prices, I had to deal directly with the owners, and the experience changed completely. Their communication felt careless and dismissive, and they were extremely rude. Near the end of 2025, with our wedding planned for June, I asked for one more call so I could clear up details and move ahead with booking the venue. They said we'd already had a first call when I initially got in touch, they wouldn't arrange another, and the villa was closed in March or April. That effectively meant I was expected to wait until March, just three months before the wedding, to ask questions and finalize things. Who waits until three months before their wedding to secure a venue? The attitude came across as “we don't care.” They don't seem genuinely open for business, and if they aren't interested in hosting events professionally, I think the listing should be removed so other couples don't waste their time.

We had e-bikes and could easily ride from my sister's house to the wineries. The house made a good base for exploring the Franciacorta area and worked well for seven couples. It's an old place, but has plenty of class.

The furniture and rooms felt very old and dusty. Most of the big beds were two singles pushed together, which made them pretty uncomfortable. Being asked to pay for electricity use was ridiculous.

I spend two weeks there every summer and keep coming back. The house is spacious, relaxing, and very well looked after. The garden is so lovely you never want to leave, and the swimming pool is just as good. I wish I lived there.

We had 20 people of all ages there for a fantastic long weekend. The atmosphere, house, and gardens left us feeling completely refreshed. There are also plenty of things to do around Bornato. It suits a group staying together, whether friends, family, or colleagues, and can also work for smaller events.
