Duomo Apartments - One Bedroom No.2

We had a comfortable room with a mini kitchen, including a microwave, sink, kettle, and coffee maker. Breakfast had a good selection, too. The hotel is very central, near Duomo Cathedral and other places of interest. My one complaint is that there was no milk or creamer in our room or by the coffee maker at reception. I'd recommend the hotel.

We stayed one night in April 2026 and would happily come back. The room was huge, with a whole kitchenette tucked into a cupboard, and the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet and very clean everywhere, with plenty of power outlets. Breakfast was good, and prices were normal despite being just a few steps from the Duomo. The staff were welcoming and professional. My one service complaint is their apparent insistence on collecting our email address. We had booked through a platform that already provides a temporary contact email, and even WiFi access required us to enter ours. Why do they need it? Think GDPR please.

The hotel itself was satisfactory, but arranging an airport ride through them was frustrating and cost us about 30 minutes that morning. We weren't in a rush, though I can imagine other guests feeling pressured into paying for a ride they never wanted. We repeatedly asked for a standard white taxi at the advertised flat rate of $114. Staff kept steering us toward their private hire service for $140, saying our luggage wouldn't fit, the fare worked differently in the opposite direction, and tolls and surcharges could push the taxi above $200. They insisted their service would cost the same or less. After about 20 minutes, we found they'd called their private hire vehicle anyway. When we declined, they said it couldn't be cancelled because the driver had arrived. We booked a white taxi ourselves through Uber for the advertised $114 flat rate. It fit our three large suitcases comfortably, had no extra charges, and the ride was perfectly fine. I'd strongly advise against booking an airport transfer through the hotel.

When we were leaving, I showed a staff member the email and asked three times, but he still gave me the wrong train station. The room also wasn't very quiet, with someone working in the hallway all the time. I could tolerate that if it hadn't happened alongside everything else, but now I don't feel it was worth the money. The fridge exploded, and I was told they could only clean after we left the room :). Honestly, that made me concerned about safety while staying there.
