We stayed at Hotel Calanica for just 4 days, a little outside Cefalu, and the kids were delighted with our small bungalow overlooking the sea. We're a family of 4 kids, ages 15, 12, 11, and 9, and we need gluten-free and dairy-free food. It's often hard to relax without worrying about allergies, but the team understood our needs so well. Giancarlo at reception was welcoming from the start, calling us and advising on the best way to accommodate us. We arrived late in the evening and missed that first romantic sunset over the bay, with the clear water and rocks in the background, but we made up for it over the next few days. The kitchen even opened especially for us and served delicious pasta in different varieties, including gluten-free. The restaurant and kitchen are fantastic in general, with great food quality and pleasant staff who made us feel at home. They also celebrated our birthday in the morning. The hotel staff and restaurant created an incredible, natural atmosphere, and the stay will stay with us for a long time. This felt like the essence of Sicily, one of its lovely places waiting to be discovered. We had the best of what we could have hoped for, and we'll surely come back. We'd happily return to Calanica Resort. The round bungalow villas sit in a lush, almost tropical garden on a hillside, with gorgeous sea views. The resort has a warm family feel, and the whole team made us feel welcome right away. Breakfast was excellent, with attentive service. We loved our cozy, fun, precious moments with the hotel team and keep raving about this beautiful place. Thanks for everything, our vacation was a hit and unforgettable! Jasmin and Family

The bungalows have breathtaking views, the breakfast is excellent, and the hotel beach is lovely, private, and not crowded even when the hotel is full. The staff were as pleasant, welcoming, and helpful as you could want. Excellent hotel, highly recommend.

We had a fabulous week in Cefalu, with a beautiful view across the bay. The hotel is about 2km from the main town; the walk is manageable, though there's one steep hill. The pool is a couple of minutes away on foot, but the pool bar wasn't open during our early September stay.
