They got us a room very quickly: I called at 9 pm and we had it by 9:30. The price was a different story. The woman paused when I asked, saying she was figuring out a discount since we hadn't booked through a broker, then quoted €95. It was our third call, so I felt committed and talked her down to €90. The room was very basic, the bathroom tiny and three doors down the hall, and there was no breakfast or parking. I couldn't see any redeeming feature. After paying much less elsewhere in Sicily for far better places, this felt like a definite rip-off.

The terrace was a highlight, with sea views and gorgeous sunsets. We left the car parked and didn't need it again: the B&B is in the historic center, close to restaurants and the beach. The welcome was excellent and the value was great, too. Our air-conditioned room was spacious, with a lovely view and a clean, new bathroom. It made us wish we could stay longer.

We found CASA GARBO in a fully renovated attic right in the heart of Cefalu, a few steps from both the sea and the historic center. The terrace has tables for breakfast and a stunning view of the city and sea. Our clean, attractive room had air conditioning and towels; the new bathroom came with a shower, hairdryer, and courtesy kit. Each guest gets their own key for the elevator. Ms. ANNA was kind, courteous, and happy to answer questions, and gave us excellent tips about the city. There was free street parking, and the value for money was excellent!

We parked once and didn't use the car again. The beach is a four-minute walk away, with shops and restaurants nearby too. The apartment has an elevator, spacious air-conditioned rooms, and a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Great value, highly recommend it.

We shared the bathroom and everything worked out fine. The guesthouse was very clean, with a terrace offering a magnificent sea view. It's well placed near the lively center, places to visit, and the train station.
