The food is the real highlight here, absolutely outstanding. If you love good food, you’ll be happy. The rooms are cosy and clean, the staff welcoming, and the location convenient: the beach is about a five minute walk and Cefalu is 15 minutes away by bus. Even if something bothers you, a great meal here will soon take your mind off it.

The beach is lovely, the resort is nice, and the food is good. But it’s extremely loud, with the animators shouting into microphones all day and right up to midnight. I wouldn’t recommend it for couples. It seems best suited to families with kids aged 5 to 12.

The cleaning, animation, and restaurant staff were really great, though I found the reception staff could be more polite and customer oriented. My ground floor room felt like a basement, with no windows or natural light. The only way to let light in was to leave the entrance door open, which meant having no privacy. Getting to the balcony also meant going through the bathroom and shower.

We chose a quiet house in Mazzaforno, near Cefalù, for a full week away from our busy work lives. Unfortunately, the noise from Cefalù Resort Sporting Club disrupted a lot of our stay. Every afternoon from 12:00 to 12:30, loud music and a screaming DJ carried over from the resort, probably during aqua jogging or something similar. Then there were very loud parties in the wider area every night until midnight. It spoiled a good part of our holiday in an otherwise beautiful house.

The food was very good throughout our two weeks in July, and the location, facilities, beach, and kind staff were all lovely. Getting to Cefalù town was easy by bus. One thing to be aware of: after the cleaners came, a piece of jewellery had ‘disappeared’ from beside my bed. Don’t leave anything valuable or sentimental in the bedroom.
