Hotel Argentina

The location is good and the staff are friendly, but we found the room dusty and not very clean. There was a lot of dust on the clothes rack, which we had to wipe off ourselves. The room itself is old, which didn’t bother us, and the shower pressure was a bit weak. The heat was the hardest part. It was much too hot, and we all sweated heavily and struggled to fall asleep.

BEDBUGS! We got to the room with the kids and then waited three hours just for hot water for a bath. Nobody was at reception, and calling the emergency number still left us waiting about three hours before the problem was sorted out. By then it was night, and we saw a huge swarm of bedbugs coming out near the bed for their nightly hunt. The on-duty administrator eventually arrived, since apparently there isn’t a permanent one. They offered us a room with three beds for four people. In the middle of the night, with two kids, we had to find another available hotel at any price because most were already booked by tourists. Terrible attitude, terrible service, terrible hotel. This isn’t a 3-star hotel, it’s a hotel of the three Egyptian plagues!

After I complained, the hotel wouldn’t move us, saying it was fully booked. I felt ashamed making my girlfriend and parents sleep in those rooms. They were below general expectations for cleanliness and decor. I’d booked two rooms, and neither looked like the Booking photos. Both were old, with several damaged doors, windows, and bathroom fixtures. They were dirty, including pigeon droppings, and the televisions didn’t work.

Avoid this place at all costs. There was heavy mold all over the room, and I don’t think it’s safe for anyone to stay there. Protect yourself and your family. The place should be shut down.
