Cuore della Valle

The lemon trees in the garden and mountains all around created such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. It was a really pleasant stay.

Sandro’s outstanding orientation and support helped us enjoy both sides of this Mediterranean jewel. Driving and parking in town aren’t easy, and you’ll need a vehicle, patience, and curiosity to make the most of this part of Sicily, but the effort is worthwhile. Cuore Della Valle (Valley of the Heart) sits in the hills facing Cefalù, a quiet retreat from the historic town’s bustle. It’s only a 12-minute drive, yet feels kilometres away from the main streets. The cottage has a cute, homey feel and the little things needed for comfort, including AC, a kitchenette, and laundry. It gave us a welcome change of pace while still letting us enjoy everything in Cefalu. Thanks, Sandro, for an outstanding experience and memories that will last a lifetime.

Sandro was very welcoming and gave us lots of ideas for places to visit in Cefalù and nearby. We stayed three nights in September and really appreciated the peaceful surroundings. The room was excellent, clean, well equipped, and everything was good quality. We’d come back to Sicily and stay here again. Recommended.

We spent seven nights here in April and would absolutely return. Sandro was a pleasure to talk to, very kind and helpful, and shared tips as soon as we arrived that made everything easier. We highly recommend him and Cuore della Valle, and are sure others will enjoy their stay too. Surrounded by hills, trees, and birds, the apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We only missed having a kettle for afternoon tea. The location is convenient: about 10 minutes from Cefalù beach, but away from the busy commercial streets. Cefalù is also a great base for the Madonie and its charming towns. We visited historic places including Castelbuono, Petralia Sottana and Soprana, and Isnello, as well as others. Nature is everywhere. We especially enjoyed Piano Battaglia and the surrounding parks. Gratteri (Grotta Grattara) is lovely too, and there’s time for a long, easy hike if you have enough time. Cefalù can get busy during peak season, but we enjoyed the evenings, with plenty of restaurants and a nice coast to relax along.
