iH Hotels Milano Centrale Hotel

We had a very good stay in Milan over Christmas 2024. The hotel is conveniently close to the train station, and reception were very helpful. Our room was roomy and clean, especially the bathroom. There’s free luggage storage, plus complimentary water, coffee, and hot drinks in the lobby.

We only stayed one night, while in town for the 2026 women’s gold medal hockey game. The staff were kind and helpful, and upgraded our room when we arrived. Centrale station is an easy walk away, and it was simple to get into the city on foot or use the metro and tram.

Maria looked after breakfast every morning, always greeting people with a big smile. She kept track of who was staying at the hotel and their room numbers, cleaned the tables, and kept the food stocked. Her work ethic and personality stood out so much that I had to mention her. I was here with my Mom for a last-minute weekend trip on October 11th. We came from NYC for pleasure and partly for work, to see my office in Milan, and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and conveniently close to the train station. Our room was comfortable, and the front desk staff and full-time security were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was my main issue. I only got lukewarm showers each night, and the lightweight door between it and the bedroom did nothing to block noise. Getting ready without waking the person you’re with was impossible. Otherwise, it’s a clean, modern hotel with helpful staff and a great spot opposite Milan Centrale, with train and metro lines and lots of restaurants nearby. The blackout curtains worked well, and we didn’t hear noise from the side street.
