We were very pleased with the accommodation. The villas were clean, comfortable, and lovely, with the easiest fold out bed downstairs. The kitchen is basic and has no oven, but there’s an outdoor hob so you don’t heat up the house, as well as a barbecue. You can get to the pool directly from the terrace or with a very short walk. It has a diving board but no longer a slide, and there’s a lifeguard, loungers, and parasols. There are two supermarkets, an ATM, and several restaurants within a 5-10 min drive. A short walk takes you to a lovely little beach. We also found a nice rocky cove down a footpath just uphill from MD supermarket. Cefalù is about a 15 min drive or bus ride away, but its main beach was crazy busy, so we stuck to the local ones. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful, even when our flight delay meant we arrived late. The villa gets cleaned and the bedding and towels are changed midweek. Tourist tax is paid in cash. There are lots of ants, so never leave food or packaging out, and there are plenty of mosquitoes too. Air conditioning worked well, but costs extra. We paid £43 for eight days with careful use. There were also lots of friendly cats to pet 🐱

Fontana Barone is a great setup for families with kids, or for extended families and friends. The apartments have the kitchen and room essentials, and there’s a bar and play area too. Outside Cefalù’s summer crowds, the place has ample parking and a great pool, with a deep end for adults and a shallow end for kids. Giuseppe at Reception, Giuseppe at the pool, and Sig.ra Enza in room services all made our stay more pleasant. The only downside is that it’s not in town. But in summer, parking in Cefalù is a nightmare, and you’ll mostly need a car in Sicily anyway, so we didn’t regret staying here.

We had an unforgettable holiday here. The holiday park is in a beautiful location, and the cottages are spacious, lovely, and well cleaned. The grounds are neat and well maintained, and the pool is a decent size and looked after by the ever present, busy lifeguard. Everyone was nice and did their best to make guests happy. A special thanks to Giuseppe, the manager. He’s a really nice person who speaks English well, and whenever you ask him for something, nothing is too much trouble.

The gardens are kept beautifully, and the pool is lovely. The semi-detached apartments have plenty of space, though the interiors feel dated and could use renovation. We found dirt caked on the white curtain by the entrance, dusty, worn sofa covers, and a cracked toilet seat. There are also barbecue facilities and parking. The beach takes about 15 minutes on foot, and Cefalu is around 15 minutes away by car. A grocery store is a five-minute drive, but the highway makes walking there impractical. Don't expect courtesy supplies like detergent, coffee, tea, or sugar. Croissants can be ordered each day for a fee. Air conditioning costs extra, €11 to connect it and €0.50 per kW, and the pool closes from 13:00 to 14:30. WiFi was unreliable.

It’s a quiet place near the sea, with free parking, and breakfast pastries are available to order at a reasonable price. The apartment is on two levels: the living room, kitchen, and shower are downstairs, while two bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs. Wooden stairs connect the floors.
