Villa Giorgia

We spent eight nights at Villia Giorgia with our family of six in September 2023, and everyone felt at home. The villa is bright and roomy, tucked along a narrow street behind a private remote-controlled gate. It gave us space to come and go and explore. There are two full bathrooms, one with a washer, and two master bedrooms with their own AC and TVs. The living room also has AC and a TV, plus a queen pullout and two twin pullouts. I’d put the kids on the twin beds and the adults on the queen beds. Clothes dry outside on a line. Laundry sheets are handy to pack for washing clothes and towels. The kitchen has a stove, fridge, microwave, pots, pans, bowls, and what we needed to cook or make coffee. Out on the big patio, there’s a charcoal grill, two large tables, and plenty of chairs for a group. Steps lead to the ocean about 300 feet away. If stairs don’t suit you, there’s also a clean, beautiful in-ground pool. The pool and upper deck were a great bonus, whether we were having coffee at sunrise or swimming and cooling off with a cocktail at sunset. There’s now a new hot tub too, for an extra fee. Enzo and his wife were wonderful hosts, living a house away and ready to answer questions or help with needs. Power can surge in Italy and knock out electricity or the water heater, and Enzo was reachable even late at night when problems came up. The villa is minutes from three grocery stores and about 15 minutes from Cefalu town center, with its sea views, beach, wine bars or Enotecas, waterfront eateries, gelato, gift shops, and narrow cobbled lanes. Pharmacies and bakeries are there too. We brewed espresso at the villa and kept sweet and savory snacks on hand for mornings. We also bought naturale or frizzante mineral water at Euro Spin for drinking, cooking, and coffee. The town has affordable public parking that felt safe while we walked along the Lungo Mare, or ocean boardwalk. The streets and driveways around Sicily and Cefalu can be narrow, so an economy car may be easier to maneuver than a large rental. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. We all felt that at home.

The pool and private beach were fantastic, and Enzo gave us a very warm welcome. We stayed for more than a week and had a great time. The place was spacious, clean, pleasant, and had everything we needed. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

We booked directly in November, but only heard shortly before the trip that they had double-booked us. They made us change rooms twice within the complex during our holiday and offered just a 9% discount, which felt unfair and very disappointing. The owner seemed more focused on his ranking on booking portals than on taking care of guests. We canceled because we no longer trusted him. If reliable plans and service matter to you, don’t book here.

The house was beautiful and had every comfort we needed. The pool and private beach made the holiday even better, and Enzo and his partner were incredibly kind and helpful. We’ll definitely come back. Wonderful, really super wonderful!
