Michele and his wife Tina were excellent hosts, and nothing felt like too much trouble. We had a relaxed, comfortable week in a very clean apartment with spacious rooms and good furnishings. We’d be very happy to come back.

My wife and I were there for two friends’ wedding in September 2019, and the owners treated us like royalty. They also run a butcher shop in the village with a meat restaurant next door, which we highly recommend. The breakfasts deserve a special mention too, with wonderful local produce from the garden and orchard.

The place is tiny, the bed wobbles, and the owner wasn’t very friendly. It gets unbearably hot inside the trullo, and despite what’s claimed, it’s hard to ventilate because of the mosquitoes. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here without a car.

We’ve just finished a stay as a group of eight, four couples. The price was very good, and Michele and his family were kind and discreet while still being available whenever we needed them. The meat from their grill in the center of Ceglie Messapica was exceptional.
