Bed and Breakfast Gioiello

Really clean rooms and great hospitality. A nice place for a holiday, and my favorite stay in Celle!

The location worked well for getting to a bar and the bus stop, which was only a few meters away. The station was a bit far, so a car would be ideal. Staff were friendly when they photographed our documents and gave us the room, but we didn't see them again. At checkout we left the keys where the room number was marked, in our case, number 31. We were a couple, so the bunk bed didn't matter, but I had hoped for at least a single bed. Instead, two beds had been pushed together, and the ridge down the middle was really uncomfortable. We didn't sleep well, and the beds generally weren't comfortable. The bathroom had just soap, a hairdryer, and towels. The bidet was clogged, as you'd expect... The room was large but cold. Its radiator was tucked by the door in one corner and didn't heat the whole space. The TV didn't work because its remote was broken. And if you have allergies, bring an antihistamine: I had to take one after spending most of the night sneezing.

The owner was a very friendly, helpful young man, and the room was cleaned carefully every morning. We stayed two nights with my family. There isn't an elevator, but the two flights of stairs weren't too much of a problem. The location isn't great if you're using a stroller, though you can still make it work and get some exercise.

The furnishings are simple, but everything was clean and worked properly. We had a good stay and found it excellent value for money. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. We'll definitely come back, and it'll be our go-to for weekends in Celle Ligure.
