We came in for lunch after walking over from Roccalvecce, and felt a bit awkward bringing in all the mud, especially our daughter. Everyone was welcoming anyway, and our server was lovely with her. The pasta and that incredible potato dish were superb. It’s such a quiet spot, and we felt right at home.

We stopped by twice, once for coffee and once for dinner, and both were great. The cappuccino was just right, and the parmigiana was incredible. Their homemade olive oil is really tasty, and the rabbit, San Rocco’s specialty, was a real treat. This lovely bar and restaurant brings a lot of charm to Celleno and seems to be where the little town meets. I’d come back.

The view was breathtaking, and we loved visiting the charming town and getting a feel for local life. Our overnight stay was lovely, too, and we slept really well despite temperatures above 35 degrees. There’s no air conditioning, just fans, but the staff did their best to keep us comfortable and made us feel at home right away. In the morning we had coffee and croissants, then an afternoon aperitivo with salty snacks like chips or olives. Alcohol-free drinks were available as well.

Laura looked after our party of 9 really well, and service was both friendly and quick. The food was very good, too, with a spectacular view. Stop in if you’re nearby.
