Super!...

We stayed here recently and the accommodation itself was absolutely decent, with a price that felt fair. What didn’t sit right was feeling a bit trapped, whether by the booking agency or the owners. They promise things that aren’t available anymore, especially the pool, which isn’t open and apparently won’t be for a long time. The outdoor areas could be beautiful, but right now they’re in disrepair. I agree with the latest reviews.
The beaches were beautiful and easy to reach, no more than 20 minutes away, though that’s true of Centola in general, not Alba Marina. Tourland was helpful when we complained and immediately found us decent accommodation, where we could finally feel like we were on vacation. Before that, Alba Marina was a nightmare. The road has no guard rails and isn’t paved. At the property, the gate was shut and we had to wait for an unkind woman to open it. Whenever we raised an issue, she said it wasn’t her fault. The pool was being serviced, and “the agency knew about it.” When we asked about strange insects in the apartment, she brushed it off with “we’re in the country, what the hell.” The pest control must not have been done since at least the 1990s. The cleaning hadn’t been done. There were dead mosquitoes in the closet, a spiderweb and two dead insects behind the bed, an old piece of plastic, dusty shutters covered in cobwebs, and greasy surfaces everywhere. Even using the bathroom was disgusting. The small apartment itself wasn’t bad, but in those conditions I can only say bad things about it. There was no air conditioning, and we didn’t dare leave the windows open at night in case a mysterious animal or a cat came in. Going out in the evening meant using a phone flashlight because there was no light at all. Loose dogs would come after you too. I love animals, but my mom is scared of them, especially big dogs, and finding two unfamiliar German shepherds in the dark isn’t good for anyone, I don’t think. I hope Alba Marina can shine again someday, but for now I think it’s time to close.
The staff were kind and helpful. We hadn’t realized there was no air conditioning, so with no mosquito nets we had to leave the windows open, which was a bit of a struggle. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant place.
It’s a beautiful spot for a relaxing day. The access road is difficult and dangerous, so take care.
