We'd left Maratea for Palinuro without booking a place, then spotted this B&B on Maps and called. The lady was polite right away and flexible about our check-in time. She showed us our room in the apartment and, drawing on her experience as a tour guide, told us about places to see nearby. She also explained the Church of San Nicola di Mira, a nice extra. The room was very clean and had its own bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. There was a big living room and a sunny veranda where we ate breakfast. They had set it up to suit our tastes, with coffee, milk, fruit juice, and fresh croissants. We enjoyed ourselves enough to add another night. The apartment's spaciousness helped them fully follow the Anti-COVID regulations. A good base for exploring the area. Excellent 💪

We stayed in July, and the cleanliness was really disappointing. The sheets hadn't been changed, and we had to ask for fresh ones. They also took away the dirty, stained mattress cover. That's the bare minimum for a B&B, and it wasn't done. The balcony was dusty, with cigarette butts in the pots and no plants. Mrs. Pina is very kind and says the right things, but the work wasn't being done. The house and furnishings are a bit dated, which was clear from the photos and was fine with me. The cleanliness wasn't.

Pina welcomed us warmly during our four-night stay and gave us lots of useful information. She suggested places to visit and eat nearby, and shared contacts for boat trips, snorkeling, trekking, and museums. It's a strategic spot for seeing the whole Palinuro and Camerota coast. Highly recommended.

Centola is a charming village with views over both the Palinuro and Marina di Camerota gulfs, each about 20-25 minutes away. The B&B is a little dated, but it has what you need for an easy holiday. The owners are always available if you have questions or need information.
