Music House Palinuro

The husband-and-wife owners welcomed us so warmly and paid close attention to what we needed. They also had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We booked two days at this two-story villa, which has several independent rooms, each with a small veranda for sitting outside or dining al fresco. The grounds are lush and well cared for, and there's parking too. If we come back to Palinuro, we'd definitely stay here again. I recommend it.

What made our stay at Nicol's property stand out was the welcome from the whole staff. They were incredibly kind and made themselves available to us throughout. We'd booked two nights after finishing the Camino de San Nilo, drawn by the musical theme, which sounded charming. The rooms exceeded what we expected: spacious, brand new, spotless, and beautifully furnished. Breakfast deserves a special mention too. It was plentiful and homemade, with delicious chiffon cake and, especially, an unforgettable tart made with homemade fig jam. The beach is very close and easy to reach on foot. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Many compliments!

The host welcomed us warmly despite our late arrival on Easter Sunday, and the rooms and shared areas were carefully kept and clean. Music House Palinuro is well placed for the beaches around Palinuro and Cilento, as well as the lovely villages of Pisciotta and Camerota. Breakfast was superb: homemade pastries, fresh eggs from the chickens on site, and sweet oranges from the garden, which you can enjoy from the rooms.

Nicol made us feel at home and even tried to meet the smallest needs. She has a big heart, and I personally felt welcomed like a daughter. With a musician as my companion, I wanted to give him a stay at this music themed property, run by wonderful people. We knew nothing about the area, so we also asked them about the nicest beaches and things to do during our visit. The property is brand new, has every comfort, and includes private parking. Breakfast is served in a charming portico with seasonal, local produce. Since figs were in season, we tried an excellent ricotta and fig tart. The rooms were impeccably clean, and waking up to piano music from Maestro Catello Milo was lovely. He plays everything from classical music to well known jazz standards. I highly recommend staying here, and hope to visit Nicol again soon.
