The owners and staff were friendly, and there was a free shuttle to the beach. The hotel also has a partner beach club for €18/day in 5th row. We spent a weekend here after a family member recommended it. The place feels a bit dated and could use maintenance: the walls need paint, and the shower stall should be replaced because of the mold and rust. We were in room 10, which was cramped but fine for sleeping. It had a fridge, air conditioning, and a TV, which were useful. The hairdryer was old and slow too. In September, the price was €85, including breakfast. There wasn't much variety in the sweet or savory options, but it was okay for a 3-star hotel.

The food stood out here. It's family-run, and the cuisine is excellent, with generous breakfasts and different dinner dishes each night. The ingredients tasted fresh. A special mention for Gianfranco, who's delightful and helpful, and really the pillar of the village. It's a quiet, comfortable resort for families or couples who aren't looking for too much activity. There are about twenty rooms, with spacious rooms and patios, a garden with lounge chairs, a minibar, and parking. For children, though, it may not be ideal: there's no entertainment or other evening activities, and that could be improved. For the sea, Arco Naturale beach is about 1 km away, around a 15-minute walk, or you can drive and park there. Another option is the shuttle for €5 per person to a partner beach in Marina di Camerota, less than 10 minutes by car. They also arrange boat excursions and nighttime fishing trips.

The dinners were a real highlight. The menu changed each day, with two choices for each course, and over our seven days, all seven of us ate extremely well. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the kitchen staff's experience. Breakfast was homemade too, with biscuits, Nutella and different jams laid out, followed by delicious croissants and coffee from the waiters. Gianfranco kept the table lively with his cheerful manner, while Batcha was always very kind and helpful. Our week-long stay began in mid-July 2025. Room 7 was spacious, comfortable and spotless, with not a speck of dust, even on the highest furniture. The one drawback was the outdoor shower, where lizards kept getting in. We knew we'd booked a room with an outdoor shower and understood that could happen, though there are indoor-shower rooms as well. The property can arrange boat trips and beach outings, including a beach club. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose Villaggio Tabù again if we return to Palinuro.
