Breakfast on the terrace was amazing, and the hosts were so kind, with great suggestions for day trips and places to eat. The atmosphere was hard to beat. The restored castle is full of charm and character, with stunning views. It may be the highest point in Centola, and I didn't want to leave. The last 500 meters up to the Castello are narrow and steep, but honestly, it wasn't a problem. Palinuro is a 12-minute drive away. We loved the gorgeous beaches and restaurants, and were surprised by how few tourists there were. An unforgettable stay, 11/10.

Vincenzo and his mother were such gracious, friendly hosts. They welcomed us with great humor and wonderful hospitality, and Vincenzo was always ready to offer advice. He suggested beautiful places to visit, including Maratea and the beaches of Cilento, and kindly booked several restaurant tables for us. The food at those restaurants was exquisite. My mother and I stayed at the Castello of San Sergio from the 10th to 14th August 2024. We had a spacious, clean room with a breathtaking view and all the key amenities. Their help made this one of the best holidays we've had in a long time. We'll definitely return!

A great base for exploring southern Cilento. The host was super nice and helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations. You're within easy driving distance of lovely beaches and coastal or mountain hikes. The renovated castle has spotless, stunning rooms, great views, and a really good breakfast.

Vincenzo and his mother made our trip with their kindness and care. They helped us plan outings, booked tables at very good restaurants, arranged boat tours, and pointed us towards the best places in Cilento and nearby. My son and I were extremely happy with their help and would highly recommend staying here. We'll surely be back. The Castello di San Sergio has lovely views across the greenery and beaches, visible from our room. It's in the rustic town of Centola, with the National Park's most scenic beaches only 10-15 minutes away by car. After returning from my home country, India, we visited this part of Italy, which had been recommended as less crowded than famous areas such as Amalfi and Sardinia. We found Cilento just as beautiful, if not more so.

Our hosts were gracious, and although they don't speak much English, we had a lot of fun communicating with Google translate. Breakfast was included and delicious, with homemade jams and baked pastries every day. The road to the castle is narrow, as is common in this area, so a small car is best. The castle sits high in the hills, with an amazing view over the whole coastline. Our spacious room had lots of character, from its stone walls to the huge wooden ceiling beams.
