Mr. Mario, his wife, and their children gave us such a warm, genuinely kind welcome for our weekend stay at the old oak tree. The rooms were immaculate, and the garden and surrounding areas were lovely. Add the excellent home-cooked food and it’s easy to see why this residence is so sought after. I think it’s the best. Keep up the good work, and see you soon!

Those five days at La Vecchia Quercia were wonderful. Mr. Mario gave us a warm welcome, and the rooms and apartments are lovely. There’s a shuttle to the beach too. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

The owner was friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the poor apartments. The mattresses are old, hygiene is poor, and the showers feel like they belong at a campsite. There’s no air conditioning or mosquito netting, and breakfast was awful. I don’t understand the praise from previous guests, and the price is far too high for what you get.

Mr. MARIO is welcoming and friendly, a smart guy from Cilento. But his good nature can’t make up for the lack of hygiene and organization. The furniture and linens are in terrible shape. Avoid this place.

I’ve stayed at this residence several times, but this year left me disappointed. The place itself is very nice, and with more care it could be number one. The apartments weren’t clean, though, and the kitchen was in bad shape: the sides were rotten, and the fridge and kitchen were practically covered in rust.
