The atmosphere is very pleasant, and when you have questions, people answer in a friendly, knowledgeable way. It’s family-oriented and good for children, while still being quiet. A beautiful hotel, furnished with real attention to detail.

We loved staying in the Johannes Room. Even though it’s right on a central street, it was surprisingly quiet, and the sun woke us in the morning! The terrace and garden are so beautiful, and the friendly, family atmosphere made us feel right at home. We’re already looking forward to spending a few more days there. We’re on our way home and still talking about this lovely hotel. Everything was just right for us. Thanks again, Bertl and Renate.

We felt completely at ease at Hotel Johanneshof, and this definitely won’t be our last stay. The family running it is friendly and helpful, and they deal with requests promptly. Breakfast is generous, with regional products, and there’s plenty of parking. We stayed in mid-May 2022 and found the hotel beautiful, well cared for, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are lovely and the beds comfortable. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Merano is close and easy to reach on foot, by bike, by car, or by bus. The stop is about 100 meters from the house. Each morning there was a tasty breakfast buffet, and anything that ran out was quickly refilled. The hosts kept checking that we had enough and were very attentive, including with room service. I booked eight nights at Johanneshof at short notice after looking online for a South Tyrol holiday. The phone call was pleasant, and I booked as soon as the offer arrived by email. When I got there in the evening, I was greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. Everything was great, and I’d gladly recommend it and come back, perhaps in another season. The only thing to complain about is that the holiday ended and I had to leave.
