The climb from town is very steep, and the hotel doesn’t provide transport. For us, the view didn’t make that hike worthwhile. Our room was extremely small and faced the front, so we couldn’t see the lake. There were two weddings during our stay, which made us feel uncomfortable and affected the service. One day, a guest threw up by the pool. We complained, but the hotel didn’t seem bothered. There are some amazing hotels on Lake Como with better transport options.

My favorite part was breakfast, with a wonderful view from the dining area, even though it was cloudy when I visited. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. My room was clean, and toiletries were provided. The bed was quite firm, but after traveling all day from Australia, it felt like heaven. Coming from Milan, you can take a train to Saronno and then to Lago Como. An Uber from Como was about 35 euros. There are two buses as well, but the Sunday schedule is limited. If you take the C110 to Cernobbio town, there’s quite an uphill walk to the hotel.

Some things in the room were broken, and checkout came with unexpected charges. At night, the toilet flushing and drain pipes from the upper floors were very loud. The drains weren’t soundproofed and didn’t seem to be installed properly.

The location is so beautiful, and the service is what makes this place great. The staff are super good.
