Villa d'Este

The service was warm, professional, and discreet, with every detail handled effortlessly. Our room was spacious, beautiful, and extremely comfortable, with peaceful surroundings and incredible views of Lake Como. Waking up and ending the day with that scenery felt special. Villa d’Este has breathtaking gardens and stunning historic architecture, and the views over the lake are unforgettable. The setting feels calm, refined, and very private, while still being well placed for enjoying Lake Como. From arrival onward, everything had a timeless elegance. It’s more than a hotel, it’s an experience of luxury and romance. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere was a little more formal than we personally prefer, and service moved somewhat slowly during our lakeside coffee. Those were minor points in an otherwise memorable stay. The team were attentive and professional throughout, and we felt well cared for. Our room had an extraordinary view, and the surroundings were charming. Villa d’Este is an exceptional historic residence dating back to the 15th century, beautifully preserved and maintained, with an almost cinematic setting. We’re grateful for all the care given to our visit and would be delighted to return.

The staff made the stay stand out. They were beautifully trained, deeply professional, and clearly joyful in their work. Their warmth and pride came through in every interaction, and they never missed a detail. From the well-appointed room and breathtaking views to the excellent food and beverage, serene spa, and unbeatable lakeside location, every part of our stay at Villa d’Este was impeccable. Hospitality at its finest.

We had a fantastic stay, and the overall service was great. We also added an engagement arrangement, which the team set up perfectly. A big thank you to Gabriele for the amazing photography.
