The local products are worth a stop, and you can also settle in for a proper meal or a quiet break. The Casaletto in Borgo Cerreto has delicious traditional food and a cozy feel. Luigi is so welcoming and kind, it really feels like being at home. A lovely place to stop on the way to Santa Rita di Cascia.

We ended up choosing from their mountain apple juices, though I would've loved to stay longer and try some of the wines, beers, and spirits. We stopped in for lunch on a quiet Monday, and as vegetarians we were both really happy with the food. The service was impeccable and everything tasted incredible. So glad we went in.

The hills around the Valnerina make for a really peaceful setting. We finally came for Sunday lunch after meaning to visit for a while. The pasta was good, but the meat dishes were quite bland, and they brought us a different wine from the one we ordered. Service was okay, though not especially friendly. Glad we tried it, but I wouldn't return.

We were freezing when our car broke down, and with very little Italian we weren't sure how to manage the tow truck and insurance calls. The people here stayed outside with us, helped call the tow truck and speak with the insurance company, then opened the restaurant two hours early so we could warm up with tea and a kind smile. I'm so grateful for their help. They were wonderful to us, and I can only imagine the place is just as lovely. We'll definitely come back and spend the night.

Carla and Marco were friendly and professional, and both the service and food were amazing. The quality was beyond what I usually see, even by the high standards of Italian cuisine. One of the best experiences of my life!
