We spent three nights at Colle Alberti Country House in October 2025, and loved the location, the house and the quality throughout. We’d booked the granary but were upgraded for free on arrival to the main house. Our modern room had lovely vineyard and hill views, a comfortable bed with a proper duvet, and a beautiful ensuite with a waterfall shower. The main house is thoughtfully decorated and feels premium. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including pastries, bread, spreads, meats, cheeses, yoghurt, fruit and cereal. You could also order freshly cooked pancakes with fruit, cream and syrup, which were delicious. We ate dinner there on our first night: a special three-course set menu of pasta, pork and panna cotta, all perfectly cooked and amazing. On the warmer day, we especially enjoyed relaxing by the pool and looking out over the surrounding hills. Our only criticism was that we couldn’t work out how to switch the air conditioning from heating to cooling on our last night. I’m sure staff could have sorted it out if we’d stayed longer, but from what I could tell, guests can’t change that setting themselves. The location worked well for us. Florence was about an hour away; we drove 30 minutes to park and ride at the tram, then took it into the center. Pisa was 40 minutes away. You can walk down to the village in about 30-45 minutes, depending on where you’re going. It has restaurants and a beautiful Medici hunting lodge that was well worth the small entry fee. We had a wonderful time and will recommend it to anyone we know planning a trip to Tuscany.

We felt right at home thanks to the kind, welcoming staff, who all went out of their way to help. Valentina at reception was polite and resourceful, and gave us great local recommendations. Myla made delicious pancakes and cappuccino in the morning, while Alessandra put together lovely charcuterie boards in the evening and helped with our pizza orders. The property sits among endless vineyards in wine country, with breathtaking scenery. Our room was cozy, clean and set up for relaxing. We had an amazing stay, would absolutely recommend it, and would love to return.

The staff were mega friendly and helpful, and always made sure we were looked after. The place feels more like a home from home than a big hotel. Our room was lovely and well presented, with a good bathroom, bed and furniture. Breakfast was great too, served in a lovely room with an open view over the Tuscan hillside. We went in November, out of season, so there was no dinner service. Still, in Tuscany you’re never more than 10 minutes from a fabulous pasta or pizza place. The pool should be lovely in summer. If we’re back in Tuscany soon, we’d definitely stay again. One small thing: it’s a good half mile to 1 km up a country track from the main road. A normal car is fine, but it might not suit a supercar. The pictures looked nice, and the place lived up to them.

The real star is Giovanni. He doesn’t just mix cocktails, he does some kind of liquid sorcery. Whatever he served us had me wondering if it was a drink or a life-changing experience. I’m still hoping for a cocktail masterclass next time. Giovanni, I’m ready! Staying at Colle Alberti Country House felt like a holiday in heaven, only with better breakfast and no clouds. Our room was bright, clean and so comfortable we nearly considered “accidentally” losing our passports to stay longer. Breakfast was delicious enough to forget you’re still in your pajamas. The atmosphere felt like visiting your favorite cousin, the one who knows how to host and doesn’t make you do chores. We met great people, shared stories and never got bored, which says a lot these days. Highly recommend, 11/10. I’d move in if they let me!

The staff made our three-night stay feel special. Every person we met was warm and welcoming, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. We appreciated their local restaurant recommendations too, they were spot on. Breakfast was brilliant, with a platter plus pancakes, waffles or eggs cooked to order and complimentary coffee. The food, wine and cocktails were excellent and fairly priced. By the pool, it was peaceful, the water was a perfect temperature, the loungers were comfortable, and the service was attentive. Free snacks and water topped up through the day were a lovely touch. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a spotless, stylish room full of character. The recently renovated country house is beautifully designed and kept, with modern luxury alongside old-school Tuscan charm. The views across the hills were even better than we’d imagined. It’s a peaceful, romantic place to relax. Five stars doesn’t seem enough, and this was one of the best hotel stays we’ve had. We’ll 100% be back.
