We chose this restaurant for dinner on our first night in the area, ahead of our Barolo and Barbaresco wine tasting the following day. The decor is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the food was delicious. Service was the one drawback: we waited a very long time for every course and found it hard to get the staff’s attention. From arriving and placing the order through the last dish and payment, dinner took almost three hours.

We came back after a couple of years and enjoyed the dinner so much, from the food and service to the atmosphere, that we returned again two days later. This trattoria serves traditional Piedmontese cuisine with plenty of imagination and careful detail. Every part of the meal, from the amuse-bouche and pasta to the main courses and dessert, was outstanding and delicious. I’d usually pass on pork belly, but this was succulent, especially with the fresh apple sauce and bok choy. Can’t wait to return!

What a blast. Spectacular dinner. I’ve tried hundreds of Italian restaurants, especially in Piedmont, and Massimo has to be the greatest chef of them all. I’d fly seven hours just to eat here, maybe even travel from farther away.

A wonderful restaurant with gorgeous produce, traditional dishes, and excellent service. The Fassona beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ravioli were gorgeous, and even the bread was heavenly. I’d highly recommend the savory cappuccino dish. Prices felt in line with the quality and generous portions.
