Palazzo de' Farrocco

Romano’s advice on excursions really made our little holiday, and he was so welcoming. We came to Molise in August after being drawn to this “family palace,” and it was a great choice. Our suite was huge, with a sofa bed in a separate room. Outside, the garden was carefully kept, fruit trees were all around with local fruit to taste, there was a new pool, and we could use the padel court.

The location worked really well for exploring Molise. We had a lovely stay, especially with the pool and paddle tennis court to enjoy. The rooms were roomy and well equipped, and the palace has some lovely interior spaces, including the cellar and dining room. Outside, the gardens were beautifully maintained and the whole noble palace sits surrounded by greenery.

The garden felt like a park, with a pool and ripe fruit still on the trees, and there was a good wine selection too. We came across the Palazzo by chance on our road trip through Italy and were delighted to find it. Everything was just right, from our room in the Palazzo to the host. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

The garden was well cared for and the setting among the greenery is beautiful, but the experience was a mess, especially with events happening at the same time. The room was standard and had no soundproofing at all. People talking downstairs sounded as if they were right in the room. There was a big mold stain on the bathroom window, the bidet faucet didn’t work, and management seemed poor. Breakfast was just a few pieces of cake, probably left over from the birthday party the night before, plus a fruit juice. I wouldn’t recommend it.
