Smart Hotel Firn

We booked half-board and mentioned when booking that we'd be bringing a dog, but no one told us dogs weren't welcome anywhere in the hotel. The website only says that dogs are allowed for a €10 per night fee. It doesn't mention that they can't join you at breakfast or dinner and must stay in the room. I'd like to know what other guests would think if a dog howled there while we ate. What's most appalling is that there's no alternative: you can't sit at a table at the edge of the restaurant, or eat at any of the many lobby tables where dogs would be allowed. With rules like these, the hotel shouldn't call itself dog-friendly.

Hotel Firn is in a quiet spot with no traffic noise, and the service is particularly friendly and helpful. The decor feels somewhat dated, but the hotel is very clean and functional, and the rooms are spacious and generally comfortable. The pool, sauna, and steam room are clean and work fine, though none are modern. The relaxation room in the basement is rather basic. Breakfast and dinner are acceptable, just not exceptional. At this price, I expected a little more quality and variety in the food. It's a quiet, clean hotel with good service, but the value for money doesn't quite convince.

The hotel is in peaceful Val Senales, and we felt pampered from the welcome right through to our departure. Housekeeping was top-notch, the rooms very spacious, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, though breakfast was buffet only. There's a pool, sauna, and games room with billiards and ping pong, plus a snack bar. Highly recommended. If we visit this area again, we'll definitely stay here.

The food was good quality, though the starter salad buffet was a bit limited. Housekeeping was excellent, and the ladies were very kind and helpful. Dinner service was prompt, and Enea was a friendly, professional waiter. The hotel is comfortable and very nice, with good heating. The relaxation area has an indoor pool and sauna, and I’d only add some self-service herbal teas as a bonus.
