Alice Hotel

Super!

We came to this hotel twice over the summer and had a nice time on both visits. The rooms aren't anything special, but they're fair for the very reasonable price. If you book a balcony room, the balcony is lovely and really spacious. The staff were kind and helpful, even letting us have breakfast early before the dining room had opened. The location works especially well for the beach, just cross the pine grove and you're by the sea.

The staff were very kind and polite, and breakfast, including the dessert, was decent. Unfortunately, our third-floor room had a serious issue: a strong smell of sewer mixed with boiled egg odor came from the bathroom drains. We told the receptionist, who confirmed the smell but played it down. Rather than move us, she handed us an almost empty can of air freshener, which did very little. What a shame. Bring your own phone.

Inside, the hotel feels genuinely welcoming, even though the exterior looks a bit dated. The rooms are spacious and clean, with pillows that were a little too hard for me. The bathroom has what you need, including free toiletries, and breakfast was top-notch for a two-star hotel. The staff were fantastic, friendly, kind, and efficient. A lovely find, and we'll definitely be back.
